WHAT CONDITIONS DO YOU TREAT?

Depending on your medical history, condition, and or any other treatments you have been or are receiving, acupuncture will fit into your treatment plan in a unique way. Each patient’s history and presentation will be unique. An assessment and prognosis can be determined during the first few intakes and consultations with a skilled provider.

DOES ACUPUNCTURE REALLY WORK?

Yes. In the past 2,000 years, more people have been successfully treated with acupuncture than with all other health modalities combined. Today acupuncture is practiced widely in Asia, the Soviet Union, and in Europe. It is now being used more and more in America by patients and physicians.

DO I NEED TO STOP MY OTHER PRESCRIBED TREATMENTS?

Acupuncture treatments can be given at the same time other techniques are being used, such as conventional Western medicine, osteopathic or chiropractic adjustments, and homeopathic ornaturopathic prescriptions. It is important that your physician-acupuncturist know everything that you are doing, so he or she can help you get the most benefit from all your treatments.

Some homeopathic remedies perform better if there is a thirty day window between administration and acupuncture needling but herbs usually offer no contraindication.

WHAT IS THE RISK OF INFECTION?

Acupuncturists are required by law in most states to use disposable one-time-use sterilized needles. The needles are stainless steel and have no hollow tip. Blood loss and bleeding are minimal with acupuncture, and there is little risk of transmission of disease.

DOES MY INSURANCE COVER ACUPUNCTURE

We are a primarily cash based practice. Therefore, each health policy must be reviewed to determine acupuncture benefits. YOU are responsible to know the exact scope of your plan and if you have adequate coverage.  The best way to become informed is to call the customer care number on the back of your member card. We can not guarantee benefits.
